It has been quiet on the blog the past 10 days. I have focused on a little offline living. I usually find myself stretched to thin in December. With so much I want to do but so little time – sound familiar?… So many people I want to see and spend time with, Presents to buy, cookies to bake, decorating the house to mention but a few.
Setting an intention
This year I have decided to be more mindful of the holidays and instead of doing to much, I have cut back and chosen wisely how I spend my time that means I have neglected the blog a bit but I promise I will be back with more consistent posts in the new year. I have so much I want to share. Lately it has been part of my daily practice, to take time, to listen to the collected teachings of Pema Chödrön.
Everyday I spend a few hours listening to her teachings and talks. It is wonderful and it has inspired me profoundly. The compassion, warmth and openness, in which she passes her teachings on to us, speaks straight to my heart. I am filled with happiness and a sense of calm, when I listen to her. For now I am reflecting and contemplating on her teachings and in the new year, I will share my thoughts on this.
